Japanese LPG supplier Eneos Globe said Monday it extended a contract with Houston-based Enterprise Products Partners to buy about 300,000 mt/year of LPG beyond 2017.
The company previously signed a contract to buy 200,000 mt/year of LPG in 2014 and 300,000 mt/year each in 2015 and 2016 from the US LPG supplier, a company official said Monday.
The company did not disclose the period of the contract beyond 2017.
"The extension of the contract with the company [Enterprise], which has strong influence on the midstream business in US, is expected to contribute to long-term, stable procurement of LPG from the US Gulf, which lowers dependence on the Middle East," the statement said.
Eneos Globe is a joint venture between JX Nippon Oil & Energy, Mitsui & Co., and Marubeni Corp.
